Cardiff YMCA Housing Association Sleep Easy Event - 02.03.12

Cardiff YMCA Housing Association are facilitating this event in partnership with YMCA Wales and Land Securities Group Plc, (owners of St Davids 2) to host Wales very first Sleep Easy on Level 6 of the St Davids 2 Shopping Centre Carpark, commencing on the evening of Friday 2nd March at 7pm and finishing on Saturday 3rd March at 7am.

Our aim is simple: We are looking for volunteers to spend a night under the stars to highlight the issue of homelessness and raise vital funds to support our work. Sleep Easy is a national YMCA fundraising event, where people sleep rough so others don't have to. Participants are asked to brave the cold, sleep in a cardboard box for one night and get sponsored for their efforts - so please, dust off those sleeping bags and come and join us. It should be a challenging and eye opening experience.

There is a £10 registration fee which covers entry into the event, cardboard to build your own shelter, hot drinks and breakfast! There will also be a prize for the Best Shelter!

Cardiff YMCA Housing Association helps vulnerable people in YOUR community to overcome many of the worst sorts of obstacles in life. Nationally, 100s of people will be sleeping rough to highlight the issue of homelessness and raise vital funds for the YMCA's work. Join us this year and help homeless people build a better future.

You Don't Have to Sleep Rough to Get Involved!
