How can you help?
Company Giving and One Off Donations & Sponsorship:
You may wish to support a specific project or scheme:
- Design for Life (Drop-In and Resource Centre) providing training/employment help/activities etc.
- Private Rented Scheme (The Association project to help people move on into independent living).
- The Pets Room (A new service we provide for homeless pet owners).
- Work Incentive Scheme (Project which has helped over a third of our residents into gainful employment and winners of the Pat Chown Award for Innovation).
- Emergency Bed (Accommodating up to 365 rough sleepers on an emergency basis 365 days of the year).
- You may wish to sponsor a room.
What is Payroll Giving?
Payroll Giving is an easy and tax-effective way for employees to donate to the YMCA. Donations are deducted straight from an employee's gross salary, giving immediate tax relief so that money normally paid in tax actually comes to us as well:
- A monthly donation of £5 will cost the employee £3.90.
- 100% of your gift is used to support our services.
Organise a Fundraising Event or Activity:
A fun way for people to help raise awareness of homelessness is to organise events such as quizzes and fetes, or arrange sponsored activities.
