How to Apply:
You can apply for accommodation in the following ways:

  • Telephone or call in for an application form. Complete the form, return it and we will contact you.
  • Telephone or call in to make an appointment for an interview. A worker will help you fill in the form.
  • Fill in the tear-off slip/ page on the back page of this leaflet
  • Log on to e-Roof (www.eroof.org.uk) on the internet for details of our vacancies and how to access them
  • Ask someone who is already helping you to make a referral. This could be a social worker, nurse, probation officer, advice worker, support worker.

All applicants will be interviewed by a member of staff who will explain our selection process and details of the services we provide.

Rooms:
Rooms are furnished and each has its own wash hand basin. Bed linen is provided. Toilets, bathrooms and showers are located on each floor of the hostel. Each resident has her/his own key. There are no time limits to enter the building, but visitors / non-residents have to leave by 10.30 p.m.

Meals:
The Association supplies breakfast every day (cooked on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays), evening meals Monday to Friday inclusive and lunch on Saturdays and Sundays. Menus for the week ahead are on display in the dining room. Any special arrangements are detailed in the Residents' Handbook.

Charges:
Accommodation Charge (rent) is between £120 and £200 per week (depending on the accommodation unit). If you are entitled to full Housing Benefit, you are expected to pay no more than £30 per week of the charge. This is for various service charges including water rates and catering. The amounts you have to pay yourself will be higher if you are in employment for example. Accommodation charges are reviewed annually.

Consultation:
Consultation with residents takes place on a regular basis through residents' meetings, satisfaction surveys and newsletters.
